Cat Surgery and Family Holiday Traditions… what a title!

Hi Friends!

Been busy…

 017

This one just had some minor surgery.

Polyp removal in the ear.

016

So… he is recovering now… um… on my lap as I write this post!

(He loves sitting on my lap when I’m on the computer).

024

(I had to show you his new furry boots in this pic!)

I took the less invasive route for his ear so we will see how that goes.

We both had a restless/sleepless night the first night,

BUT we both got some sleep last night! Yay!

018

These little fur babies can keep you busy!

OK… onto Family Traditions.

015

One Christmas tradition we have started a few years ago are… PUZZLES!

007

Every year we buy a new one and spread it out on a table and let

everyone who wants to piece it together have a go at it.

012

I usually get a thousand or more pieces so it will last for awhile.

It’s a great way to bring family and friends together to enjoy a good

challenge.

I always put the puzzle on something that is MOBILE so we can move it if

we need to.

011

This year I used a corkboard but… cardboard works good, too.

And if it gets solved earlier than expected… I bring out last years puzzle

to conquer again.

008

I’m tellin’ ya… FUN, FUN, FUN for all!

So… do you have any fun holiday traditions

with your family or friends?

  1. Hey Kendra ... glad to hear that kitty is alright. We also used to love to do puzzles as a family, but it's been a while. Think I might get the girls stuck in this year now that they are a little older. One of our favourite Christmas Eve traditions is to get all the cousins together and my hubby tells them the Christmas story with LOTS of sound effects from each of the family members. It always makes us smile =)

  3. Glad your kitty is ok! How adorable are the boots? I mean, SO CUTE! I like your tradition, haven't done a puzzle for awhile so perhaps I'll incorporate it! We don't really have a tradition per se, hmmm, does that make me a horrible person? I hope not! Keep that kitty close! :)

  5. Kendra, I hope your sweet kitty is feeling better! The boots? Wow. Do you take him to the groomer?? Very classy cat!!!

Absolutely LOVE the puzzle tradition. We do advent with the boys and Hanukkah and Christmas. It's jam packed. We play holiday music every day. Bake and decorate cookies. Mostly stuff with the boys. However, when everyone comes over I'd love to have a huge puzzle out. Thanks for the idea!!!

  7. We used to do the puzzle thing when I was growing up... the puzzle table stayed up all winter. I need to start a new tradition for my grandkids.
Right now the only holiday tradition for me is running around like a chicken with my head cut off! Hope kitty is all better - (love the fur boot look - lol!!)
