Trip to Maine… Part 2

Well, this is part two of our trip to Maine.

The next stop was actually in another nearby state… Boston, MA.

We decided to take a trolley tour around the town.

Love the cobblestone streets!

Paul Revere’s house and monument was our first stop.

Next…around the corner… The Old North Church.

This church and it’s lantern signals are famous…

One if by land, and two if by sea is from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem,

"Paul Revere's Ride".

What I thought was interesting were these cubbies that families would be assigned to and the whole family would sit in them.

They would decorate them and bring hot coals to sit on the bench inside to help keep them warm during the service.

Now for a few shots of Boston architecture…

And talk about the food… wow… so many choices.

We also ate at an awesome Italian Restaurant for dinner (the one above)… very good!

Since there is so much to see and do in Boston… I would definitely recommend the trolley ride and the boat ride tours.

This pic is from a boat ride that takes you around the city… WOW!

Now…

onto one of my fav towns… Freeport, Maine.

Freeport is a beautiful little town with lots of inns to stay at and full of outlet stores to shop in.

We had a brunch buffet at the Harraseeket Inn.

You must make reservations and all I can say is… Delish!!

It’s that good!

This is the McDonalds Restaurant there… drive through and all.

Wow!  Never have seen a MickyD’s look like that!

llbean

We had a great time roaming the LLBean stores.

My favorite one was the Home store.

Here I am… ending a windy, cold day at a warm and wonderful place…

with a Hot Chai Tea Latte from Starbucks…YUM!

And that is conclusion of Part 2 of our vacation in Maine.

And last but not least… Part 3 coming soon! Smile
