Christmas 2012

I didn’t go all out this year with Christmas decorating.

Just my mantel and my entry way and few unique projects.

Even though Christmas Day hasn’t even gotten here, this is my Christmas Décor 2012 recap post.

First, let’s start with the entry way

Entry Way1

(Brought the Photo Ladder in for this one.)

Put the photo ladder in a galvanized bucket (like I have in the past)

(Christmas Past)

and added some silver *bling* ornaments with lights to create some ambiance.

Entry Way4

I hung my Merry Christmas Chalkboard on the bench corner for everyone to be greeted with some Christmas cheer.

sachet  sachets

Really enjoyed making some sachets (for gifts) and pillows (for the home) full of Balsam Fir and putting them in a basket for some entry way fragrance.

Entry Way

Always enjoy my Farm Table Bench!

Next Stop…

The Christmas Mantel.

Christmas Mantel5

Again, brought out the barn I made last year.

Blog

I made a Painted Pine Cone Wreath which made the perfect roost for my owl ornament.

And added a few new projects this year…

Christmas Mantel

Christmas Mantel1

Love how the painted pine cones made everything just pop!

And last but not least… the Christmas Tree

Tree

I just put my silver and mirrored Christmas Ornaments on the tree and added some shiny red to go along with the mantel.

Also placed it in a galvanized bucket as before.

Christmas LR

Nice and Cozy in this nook of the living room!

Hope you have enjoyed some of my Christmas décor this year.

However, out of all my décor… this is most precious to me…

Baby Jesus Nativity

For He is the reason I celebrate.

Luke 2:11-14

11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. 12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Isaiah 9:6

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

This is one of my favorite Christmas songs by Darlene Zschech of Hillsong.

  2. Visiting your blog from your Lettered Cottage comment. We too are big Steven Curtis Chapman fans (probably aging myself now that the next generation of Chapman's is performing...)and have loved following their family. Anyhow, your home is so lovely decorated for Christmas! I love the woodsy feel to your mantle and most of all the reason you celebrate :) Have a great Christmas!
