Fall Mantel 2012… It’s A Fall Festival!

Hope you’re ready for some

Fall Y’all!

This year… my fall mantel theme is:

‘Fall Festival’

021

(burlap banner with cut out felt letters)

and

Just to warn youI went a little crazy with it!  YEP!

Anywho…

Let’s put on our boots and get going to the festival!

So how do we navigate around this place?

fallmntl

Oh Good… directions!  Let’s go right!  :)

For the sign…

just took some scrap wood, cut some points on the end of each piece, painted some words, and glued them on an old stake we had.   Easy Peasy!

The Burlap SackTractor Supply store for $1.00… is covering a decorative jar where the stake is inserted.   It worked out perfect!

Do you remember this BARN?  Click Here if you don’t!

A new coat of red paint made this barn a fantastic focal at the fall festival!

(a little tongue twister there for ya!)

I didn’t have any fall décor until I went to Hobby Lobby!

All the pumpkins, leaves, and hay were compliments of Hobby Lobby’s 40% off sale on fall décor!

Aren’t these chalk board buckets adorable?

Got ‘em at Target… $1.00 a piece!

An old metal bucket holds the harvest of red delicious fake apples…

Maybe some apple cider or even apple pie for the festival?

Sounds good to me!!

Well Folks…

Hope you enjoyed this year’s Fall Festival on my mantel!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Harvest Everyone!

Praying MANY Fall Blessings to all this season!

My Christmas Barn Mantel

So… it hit me…

Why not bring the outdoors in…

by BUILDING an OLE RUSTIC Christmas Barn…

For my Christmas mantel this year!

Since I didn’t have any scrap wood, I had to take a trip to the hardware store.

I found some light cut wood and came up with a plan.

Here… I’ve cut and glued some of the pieces together as you can see.

Now… it’s starting to take shape with the beginning stages of FAUX PAINTING.

Remember… I wanted RUSTIC!

After the faux painting was done, I cut some strips and added that ole barn door.

Notice the snowy branches?

They came from flocked scrap branches at a nursery…free!  Smile

I added some stacked wood around the barn for an outdoor feel.

The lights all around the barn make it real nice and cozy at night!

And that’s my 2011 Christmas Barn Mantel!

What’s great about this piece is that I can use it anytime of the year.

OK…well…

Next up… the Christmas Tree!

I did something this year… I’ve never “had done” before!

Hope your Christmas Season has been Merry and Bright!!
