Christmas Mantel 2017

I finally got the tree up and the mantel decorated!

I kept my cabin theme from this year’s Fall’s Cozy Cabin Mantel

and went right into decorating the cabin for a wintery mountain scene!

This is my Cabin In The Woods Christmas Mantel 2017…

I love the greenery with this mantel

and how it really does make it look like a cabin in the woods!

One of my fav things is the antique stoneware crock!

And to go with my woodsy theme…

my tree has rustic, plaid, and cabin-y type ornaments on it!

I also used the old trusty outdoor tub for my tree base. 

WELL…

it definitely feels like a Tender Tennessee, Woodsy, Rustic, Mountainy Christmas around here!!

This is my ‘Immanuel Mantel’ for Christmas 2015!

I know Jesus wasn’t born in a wood pallet barn,

but it was all I had to create the illusion of shelter!

I added creek rock to give it a more rock like appearance.

And baby Jesus?

Well,

I used my very first baby doll from when I was a little girl

to be baby Jesus!

Christmas Tree(s) with Mantel

Well folks… only a few days ‘til Christmas… are you ready??

NOT ME!! LOL!

I am just now getting my tree(s) up and I haven’t done any shopping at all!

I wasn’t even going to put up a tree this year.

Been VERY busy taking care of my sick fur baby. 

Not sure what’s wrong… at first they thought lymphoma but now they think maybe autoimmune… so??

Let’s just say we’ve had a rough go these last few weeks!

 Praying he makes it through and continues to do well on his meds.

Soooo… with all that going on… I have not quite been in the Christmas spirit this year.

But, when Neeko would fall asleep, it gave me some down time…

So I thought what would be easy if I did have a tree???

 How about the two light weight artificial pre-lit trees I usually use outside??

My “Musical” Christmas Wreath

 Hey Y’all!Well… Christmas decorating is coming right along!So glad I’m getting an early start…feels good!Just wanted to share with you not only one of my favorite hymns but how I’m incorporating it this year with the wreath over the fireplace.This hymn is very special to me and I cherish the memory of singing it in church as a little girl.I still love to sing the old hymns… and I get all giddy when we sing one in church. They are truly generational.
